Welcome to our sustainability blog of Grace Episcopal Church in Kirkwood, MO. We live in times of great consequences and also of great opportunities. At Grace we want to become more aware of what we as a congregation and individuals can do to reduce our impact on God's creation. By means of blogging we can communicate ideas more effectively. This will help us to work on projects between meetings. Please feel free to post ideas, share web sites or upload pictures that have to do with our mission.

Who likes to compost? I do.
ReplyDeleteI have a table top composter from NatureMill and it worked fantastic until it broke :(. They are sending a replacement though and I am thrilled to crank out more compost.

ReplyDeleteWhich table do you keep a tabletop composter on?!
ReplyDeleteThis is green-related... I asked (at Tuesday's Vestry meeting) if anyone was interested in working along with me & Denise Miller to get started on a 'Community Garden' on our property. I'm just beginning to do some research on what all is involved. Really could use an energetic semi-retired person (with time) to help implement this idea. The thought is: we'd grow vegetables and donate that produce to needy places around St. Louis. Interested?
ReplyDeleteGoogle maps now has a cool bicycling directions feature that maps good bike routes to your destination. I have a couple of routes that took me a while to figure out and it guessed them as the best route easily.
